No fighting. You're fighting for second anyway.

Sorry, but I'm forced to go with my old hometown company. It's a legal obligation.

I'm sorry what did you say? It's hard to hear you from 6 feet under!

The star which shines twice as bright lasts half as long. Duesenberg will never be a Ford Fusion for the retired.

I know this car, but I can't put a name to it—refresh me.

Bing says it's the Pierce-Arrow 12. I knew it was a Pierce-Arrow, but my knowledge of their individual models is lacking.
Should be correct though.

You are right a Duesy is like Linsdy Lohan. Massively successful and didn't last very long. A Lincoln like all good Boy Scouts is getting that "help the elderly badge" soon it shall be another companies turn.

That's the best analogy I've heard in a while. Or at least the funniest.

Big talk for a company with a shorter lifespan than Amy Winehouse.

It's a Pierce Arrow. The archer mascot is your biggest clue.

Oh boy...

FYI: Old Pierce Arrows were turned into fire engines because of their truck-like qualities and general non-Duesenbergness. Old Duesenbergs were stored in garages because you don't turn a perfect car into a damned fire engine.

Figured it out... I didn't know this one. I was thinking of this:
Packard 902 Shovelnose.

Trick there being that nearly all Pierce Arrows (in addition to the mascot) have fender-streamlined headlights, and nearly all Packards have the grandfather clock profile grill top. See here:
...to the upper inset here:
...to the much wider spread of that same shape here:
Flat line, arch, flat line.

Now, I'mma let you finish, but...
As much as Duesenberg is my favorite American car brand of all time, there was a lot of astounding competition. Take, for instance, a Cadillac V16:
I love Duesenbergs, but artistry must be respected

Absolutely. I love the Cadillac V-16, and the Lincoln Model K, and the Hispano-Suiza, and basically all coach built prewar cars. But I mostly love arguing.

Howard Hughes did turn his Duesenberg into a tow truck. But, you know, that was Howard Hughes.
